Artist Biography
Ric Conn, although primarily self taught, studied at the Corcoran College of Art in Washington, D.C., the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland, and the Academy Art Museum in Easton, Maryland. Drawing pictures before he could print his name, Ric has been an artist his entire life while working as a free lance photographer, printer and graphic artist to pay the bills and raise his family. Freelance art projects include creating a poster for a drug workshop in the 60’s, illustrating a children’s book, designing a CD cover, a variety of pamphlets, books and flyers, and several logos.
Recently Ric has won a 2nd place award and the “Face of Queen Anne’s County” medal for one of his oil paintings and Honorable Mention for one of his mixed media pieces.Baltimore, Columbia, Annapolis, Frederick, Stevensville and Centreville. Ric is a member of Art Exposure in Baltimore, Maryland Federation of Art, Island Federation of Art, Queen Anne’s County Arts Council, Baltimore Museum of Art, Brandywine Museum of Art and the Academy Museum of Art.
